The Adapter worked just as stated, but I cannot give a 5 star as to be a true replacement, it should have at least the length of the orginal cord, of which it's about 1/3 of the length of the one supplied by HP. Luckily, I can get a little bit extra using the old Edison part of the adapter. It's about 4-5 feet in length total, so just enough to connect with a edison connection on your desk. Then again, for 10 bucks (with shipping) still a good deal.

I bought this charger online when the original one to my HP laptop (which I've had for almost 3 years) stopped working. The $25 was a much better deal than the $88 (plus tax) Best Buy was going to charge me for a replacement, so I bought this one. I was very happy with the charger for the past few months, but suddenly today it stopped working for no reason- there was no damage to the cord, it just stopped working. Luckily I still had my old broken one, and when I used the part of the cord without the box from that one with the cord with the box that I purchased here, it worked just fine, so the problem seemed to be just that one part of the cord. But that should not have happened after 60 days. So basically, you get what you pay for, I guess.

I bought this battery through Amazon.com via "In And Out Computers" and am extremely pleased with this purchase. I will admit, when I opened the box, I was very surprised to see it was a real HP battery - I was expecting some knock off battery considering the price. It fits perfectly in my HP Pavillion Entertainment PC dv6875ca (dv6700 series) 15.4" Widescreen laptop. My original battery (6 cell- HSTNN-DB46 10.8V 55Wh) was pretty much dead and maybe lasted 30 mins on power saver. With this new 12 cell battery, the battery lasts several hours.

My laptop specs are:

Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 @ 2.00GHz,

Windows Vista Premium 32-bit,

3 gig ram,

320 gig 5400 RPM hard drive,

NVIDIA PureVideo HD 256 MB graphics with blu-ray drive

I had searched amazon for a replacement and am very happy to have come across this battery. My specific computer was not listed but I decided to give it a go. It works perfectly fine. Overall, this is a great buy, and I would recommend you to get this if it matches your battery model.

I should mention it does protrude out due to it being double the capacity of the original 6 cell battery but I actually prefer this as it allows for air flow when sitting on your lap.

I will add that I live in Canada and am fortunate to have my parents living in the USA and have them bring stuff up once and a while. This battery up here in the north will run you at least double (more likely triple) what amazon.com is charging (not to mention mega taxes here), making the currency exchange irrelevant. Looking forward to the day when Amazon.ca offers more choices for us canucks.

After receiving this item, I charged the battery for 24 hr, drained it completely (~3%) and recharged it once again. Anytime afterwards, my laptop would bluescreen, reporting a hardware problem in WinDbg, within 2 min of removal from a power source.

I was able to return the product with a full refund; thus, my advice is to watch the return policy...
